Triple J is a “Australian radio station”
Nationally networked, Triple J to appeal listeners between to the age of 18 and
30 years old. On January 16, 2015 the Triple J
Celebrated 40th anniversary with
seven-hours Beat The Drum in Sydney.
The Triple J station compared to commercial stations, places a
greater emphass on alternative music and Australian music. The Australian
government decleared owned station is a division of the ABC (Australian
Broadcasting Corporation).
In August
1, 1980 2JJ began broadcasting
the FM and became name Triple J and 2JJJ. This FM restricted within the greater
Sydney region. Triple J developed a wide range of special interesting programs
including the Arnold Frolows weekly late night ambient music show Ambience,
Japanese pop sow nippi Roc shop and Jaslyn Hall’s World music show. In 1980 Australian
Broadcasting Corporation was finally able to begin developed of the delayed
national Youth Network , Triple J expanded nationaly to Canberra, Drawin,
Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane. Triple J presenters Virgina
Moncrieff, Peter Doyle, Clive Miller and Tony Barrell began produced a fanzine
with the inscrutable title of Alan in 1983. Alan featured pop trivia,
programming information and irreverent interviews style by DAW (David Art Wales). In 1990 Triple J
expansion to many regional areas of Australia,
Throughout the 1994, Triple J
extend to another 18 regional centres. In 1994 include new additions Tasmania,
Albany, mackay, Queensland, New South Wales, Launceston and Western Australia. In
2004 Triple J release talkback shows including Dr Karl, Hack and This sporting
life. Triple J was most recent expansion to
Western Australia and Broome in 2006, and same year Triple J launched
JTV on Australian Broadcasting
Corporation (ABC) and Australian Broadcasting Corporation 2 (ABC2). In JTV programs
includeds Live concerts, Comedy, Music videos and Documentaries. The Dig Music
digital radio station join the Triple J, In April 30, 2004 and re-launched Double J.
